Reflections on 2020

Although 2020 did not turn out as any of us had planned, looking back there was a lot for us to be grateful for.

In the face of a global pandemic and the accompanying restrictions, we are grateful for the continued trust of  our valued clients and the rewarding and diverse projects. We are also grateful for our Maverex team and the new faces that we welcomed this year.

Digital development

On top of our core services, last year was also an exciting year for the development of our digital tools; Harbour and Ocean.

Originally launched in 2019, Harbour and Ocean came to life as we listened to our industry talk about the same resourcing challenges and the frustrations of working with software that wasn’t quite fit-for-purpose. In 2020 we transformed both of those platforms with the addition of new features and even better user experience. This year, development continues as we look to add even more functionality, enabling more ‘wins’ for our clients.

Virtual conferences

Attending conferences is an annual highlight of hours, and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t disappointed to miss out on travelling last year. Last year we logged on to Virtual ISPOR and Virtual PPMA to meet new faces (and reconnect with some old favourites!). We had a a blast, but we hope it’s not long until face-to-face conferences are safely back.

Science as a priority

Scientific integrity will always be at the top of our agenda, and so we were delighted when four of our posters were published at ISPOR Europe; two of them receiving special recognition, putting them in the top 10% of all submitted abstracts, based on scores of scientific merit. We’ve also had another six pieces of quality research published in 2020 alone.

2021 is shaping up to be another exciting year at Maverex. If you’d like to work with us, or find out more about our what we do, email enquiries@maverex.com.
